Lorenzo Lagos is an economist with research interests in labor economics and development economics. Starting August 2020, he will be a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Industrial Relations Section in the Department of Economics at Princeton University.In July 2021, he will join the Brown University as an assistant professor in the Department of Economics. Lorenzo will earn his PhD in economics from Columbia University in 2020.

Lorenzo Lagos's research agenda strives to understand how institutions in developing countries impact labor market outcomes, with a particular emphasis on the role of firms. His worked has delved into issues such as collective bargaining, racial wage gaps, and drug-related violence.

Lorenzo Lagos joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2020.
