Andreas Lichter

Andreas Lichter is Assistant Professor at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Andreas received his Ph.D. from the University of Cologne in January 2016. Prior to his doctoral studies, he studied Economics at the University of Cologne and at Trinity College Dublin, graduating as Diplom-Volkwirt (equiv. M.A. Economics) in 2011.

His current research interests cover topics in empirical labor and public economics as well as political economy.

Andreas joined IZA as a student assistant in 2010 and continued as Resident Research Affiliate from October 2011 to August 2015. He was an IZA Research Associate from September 2015 until September 2018. Andreas continues to cooperate closely with IZA as a Research Fellow.
