Martin Popp is a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nuremberg, Germany. He studied Economics at Friedrich-Schiller University Jena, the University of Aberdeen, and Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). Martin earned his doctorate as a scholarship holder in the Joint Graduate Program from IAB and FAU (GradAB). During his doctoral studies, he undertook a multi-week research stay at the Institute for Evaluation of Labour Market and Education Policy (IFAU) in Uppsala, Sweden. His research interests cover the fields of labor demand and industrial relations, with a particular focus on studying imperfect competition in the labor market, minimum wages, and the shortage of labor.
