John Forth is a Reader in Human Resource Management at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School, City University of London). He is also a Fellow of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR). He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in August 2019.

His research focuses on work organisation and HRM, and their implications for job quality and productivity. Much of John's current work is investigating the links between firms and wage inequality, using linked employer-employee data.
