Filipa Sa
Filipa Sa
Research Fellow

Filipa Sá is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at King's College London. Her main research interests are international macroeconomics and labour economics. Her work in international macroeconomics covers issues such as capital flows, portfolio choice and current account sustainability. Her research in labour economics covers topics such as migration, hours of work and employment protection legislation.

Filipa joined King’s College London in June 2013. Prior to that, she was an economist in the International Finance Division of the Bank of England (between 2007 and 2009) and a lecturer at Trinity College Cambridge (between 2009 and 2013). She completed her PhD in Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2008.

Filipa joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in July 2006 and became a Research Fellow in March 2009.
