Agnieszka Postepska is an Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen. She holds a PhD in Economics from Georgetown University. She has completed MA in International Economics and MA in Psychology at the University of Warsaw. After completion of both MA degrees, she received the Fulbright scholarship to start the Ph.D. Program in Economics at Georgetown University. During her studies she has experienced both teaching and working at policy making and research institutions. She currently consults for the Chief Economist Office For Africa at the World Bank.
Her main research interests lie in the field of applied microeconomics. In particular, she is interested in microeconometrics, migration, development and economics of education. Her current research focuses on immigrants in the US, with special focus on human capital transmission, occupational networks and relative position of immigrant groups in the US.
She joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in August 2013.
