Linguère Mously Mbaye is Manager of the Country Economics Division for Central, North, and West Africa at the African Development Group in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. Prior to that, she was Principal Fragility and Resilience Officer at the Transition States Coordination Office of the AfDB Group; after being a Senior Research Economist at the Macroeconomics Policy, Forecasting and Research Department. She completed her PhD from the Center for Studies and Research in International Development(CERDI)-University of Auvergne (France) in April 2013.
Her main fields of interest are Development Economics,Labor Economics, Migration, Gender, Economic and policy analysis, Fragility and Resilience.
Linguère became an IZA Research Associate in September 2012. She also served as Deputy Program Director for the Employment and Development Area from September 2013 to September 2015. In October 2015 she joined the African Development Bank Group.
She became an IZA Research Affiliate in 2015 and is an IZA Research Fellow since December 2023.
