Christoph Rothe is Professor in the Department of Economics of the University of Mannheim. Before he was an Assistant Professor at Columbia University and from 2009-2012 he was an Assistant Professor at the Toulouse School of Economics.

He received his PhD in economics from the University of Mannheim in 2009, and his Diplom in statistics from the University of Dortmund in 2005. His current research focuses on non- and semiparametric methods in econometrics, and applied microeconometrics.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in October 2011.
