Tomi Kyyrä is Research Professor at VATT Institute for Economic Research in Helsinki. He received his PhD from the University of Helsinki in 2007. His current research focuses on the effects of various social security programs, such as active labor market programs, unemployment compensation and early retirement schemes.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2012.
