Tianyi Wang is a postdoc researcher at the Department of Economics and the Center for Economic Behavior and Inequality (CEBI) at the University of Copenhagen. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020 and his B.A. in economics and mathematics from Colgate University in 2015.

He is an applied microeconomist with primary research interests in health and labor economics, political economy, and economic history. In his work, he has explored how technological innovations affect health and labor market outcomes, the relationship between public health interventions and mortality, as well as the political impacts of the media. Much of his work involves identifying and digitizing primary sources to assemble novel datasets.

Tianyi Wang joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in September 2020.
