Luna is an applied microeconomist. She is Assistant Professor(Junior Professor) at the University of Konstanz since October 2013. She is also a research affiliate at Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policy at Bocconi University and a junior investigator at the Graduate School of Decision Sciences at the University of Konstanz.
She was previously a post-doctoral research fellow at the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER, Luxembourg), where she has obtained a grant from the FNR (National Research Fund) for a project on "Intergenerational Transmission of Poverty and Human Capital Formation”, co-funded under the Marie-Curie COFUND scheme.
She completed her PhD in Economics at Bocconi University in Milan. Her research focuses on public & labor economics with particular interest in intergenerational mobility, political economy of redistribution and household and gender economics.
Luna joined IZA as a Research Fellow in March 2017.
