Alex Bryson is Professor of Quantitative Social Science at UCL's Social Research Institute. He is also a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (London), Rockwool Foundation (Berlin), the Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence (ESCOE) (London) and a Rutgers Research Faculty Fellow. His research focuses on industrial relations, labour economics and programme evaluation.

He is Editor-in-Chief at Industrial Relations: A Journal of Economy and Society and an editor of the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series A and the Journal of Participation and Employee Ownership.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in July 2014.
