Robert Duval Hernández

Robert Duval-Hernandez is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Open University of Cyprus.

He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University. He has been a Post-Doctoral scholar at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies at UCSD, and an Assistant Professor in Economics at CIDE, Mexico, where he now is an External Affiliate.

From 2011-2013 he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Cyprus (UCY), and from 2013-2018 he collaborated with the program “Employment in Europe” funded by the European Research Council and hosted at the UCY.

His research interests include the economics of inequality and income dynamics, the study of informal labor markets, and labor market institutions and policies.

He was a Research Affiliate at IZA between January 2007 and April 2010, and became again a Research Affiliate in May 2016.

Since November 2021 he is an IZA Research Fellow.
