Caroline Wehner is a Research Associate at the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). Between 2011 and 2017, she was a Resident Research Affiliate at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA). She holds a PhD in Economics from Maastricht University and a diploma in Economics (equiv. M.A.) from Cologne University. She is a Research Fellow at IZA@LISER and the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market at Maastricht University (ROA). Her work has been published in European Economic Review, Labour Economics, Industrial Relations, or Research in Social Stratification and Mobility.

Her research interest is behavioural, education and labour economics as well as management practice related to recruitment and training.
