Jakub Lonsky is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Economics at the University of Edinburgh. Jakub received his B.A. from Berea College and M.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Pittsburgh in August 2019, and was a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Liverpool from September 2020 until May 2024.
His main research interests lie at the intersection of labor economics, political economy, and health economics, with a particular emphasis on international migration and transnational organized crime.
