Gerrit Mueller is a post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for European Economic Research, Mannheim, Germany. He has a Ph.D. in economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam and has been a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago GSB. Previously, he completed the graduate program in economics and econometrics at the Tinbergen Institute Amsterdam/Rotterdam (M.Phil. Economics, 2003) and studied at Maastricht University (M.A. Economics, 2001).

He was an IZA Research Affiliate from June 2004 until September 2006.
