Wolter Hassink is professor of Applied Econometrics at Utrecht University (Utrecht University School of Economics), the Netherlands. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Free University of Amsterdam in January 1996. His current research concentrates on labor market and the firm, sickness absenteeism, and housing markets.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in August 2004.
