Katja Görlitz is an assistant professor (Juniorprofessor) of Labor Market and Social Policy at the Freie Universität Berlin. In 2010, she received her Ph.D. in Economics from the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. From 2006 to 2012, she worked at the RWI (Rheinisch-Westfälisches Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung) in Essen. Her main research interests cover labor economics, economics of education and applied econometrics. She has published in economic journals like Economics Letters, Labour Economics and Economics of Education Review.

She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in April 2013.
