Steffen Habermalz is currently a Senior Lecturer at Northwestern University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in May of 2002. In 2002-04 he was Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at Marquette University, Milwaukee. In 2004-06 he was Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Nebraska - Kearney. His research interests are in Labor Economics and Applied Microeconomics

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in January 2003.
