Francesc Ortega is a professor of sustainable development at the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame. He is a core faculty affiliate of the Keough School's Pulte Institute for Global Development.
Ortega’s research focuses on climate risk, insurance, and housing markets. He also conducts research on labor markets and immigration policy. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from New York University.
He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in March 2008.
