Jo Blanden is a lecturer in the Economics Department at the University at Surrey. From 2000 to 2005 Jo was a full-time researcher at the CEP while she undertook her PhD in Economics at University College London. She remains a research associate at the Centre, and is part of the Education and Wellbeing Research Programme. She is continuing her research on intergenerational mobility as part of the Centre for the Analysis of Social Exclusions 'Social Policy in a Cold Climate' programme.

Jo joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in December 2005 and became a Research Fellow in May 2008.
