Konstantinos Tatsiramos is a Reader (Associate Professor) at the University of Leicester. He received his Ph.D. in Economics in 2004 from the European University Institute in Florence. Previously, he completed his M.Sc. in Economics at the University College London in 1999, and his first degree in Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business in 1997.
He has held short Visiting Marie-Curie Fellowships from the CentER at Tilburg University and the Centre for Demographic Studies at the Autonoma University of Barcelona, in 2003. He was also appointed as a Young Researcher at the Research Training Network "Economics of Ageing in Europe" (AGE) at Tilburg University and the University of Cyprus in 2004 and 2005.
After joining IZA as a Research Affiliate in January 2004, he became a Research Associate in September 2005, a Senior Research Associate in September 2008 and a Visiting Research Fellow in September 2011.
Since 2007 he is the IZA Co-Editor of "Research in Labor Economics", and since 2008 he is the Deputy Program Director for the IZA Research Area "Labor Markets and Institutions".
His main research interests lie in applied micro-econometrics and labor economics, with particular emphasis on employment and unemployment dynamics, labor, geographic and residential mobility, economics of aging and entrepreneurship. |
