Elke J. Jahn is professor of labour economics at the University of Bayreuth and distinguished senior researcher at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) Nuremberg. Before joining the University of Bayreuth she was associate professor at Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus University. She was visiting scholar at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies at Harvard University (2006/2007) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2020).
Between 2015 and 2022 she was a member of the scientific board of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees. Since 2020 she is a member of the Bavarian Ethics Council.
Her research focuses on monopsony, multinational wage premium, migration, and temporary agency work
Elke J. Jahn joined IZA as Research Fellow in March 2005.
