Ludo Visschers is a Professor/ATRAE Distinguished Researcher at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
Ludo Visschers earned his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, following his undergraduate studies at the University of Maastricht. Before returning to UC3M, he was a full professor at the University of Edinburgh. He has also held positions as an assistant professor at UC3M and Simon Fraser University in Canada. Most of his research interests lie in the broad area of Macro-Labor, where he focuses on modeling and measuring the frictions workers encounter when searching for (better) jobs, as well as the policies to improve labor market outcomes in the face of these frictions.
