Michal Bauer is an Asociate Professor at the Charles University in Prague and at CERGE-EI.


His research interests are development microeconomics, experimental economics and behavioral economics. His work focuses on conflict, (anti-)social preferences, ethnic discrimination and formation of preferences. He has conducted field experiments on related topics in Uganda, India, the Republic of Georgia, Sierra Leone, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in February 2009.
