Maya Rossin-Slater

Maya Rossin-Slater is an Assistant Professor of Health Research and Policy at Stanford University School of Medicine.

She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University in 2013, and was an Assistant Professor of Economics at University of California at Santa Barbara in 2013-2017. Rossin-Slater’s research includes work in health, public, labor, and gender economics. She focuses on issues in maternal and child well-being, as well as family structure and behavior, and draws implications for addressing the needs of disadvantaged populations in the United States and other developed countries. Rossin-Slater is also a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research.

Maya joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in May 2016.
