Mikkel Mertz is a PhD student in Economics at the School of economics and Finance at Queen Mary University of London, a Researcher at The Rockwool Foundation Research Unit in Denmark and a research officer at the Centre for Research & Analysis of Migration (CReAM).
Mikkel’s research interests broadly encompass Labor Economics, Economics of Crime and Applied Microeconomics. His current research focuses on the consequences of crime for criminals, victims and individuals growing up in a high crime area.
Mikkel joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in April 2023.
