Wiljan van den Berge obtained his PhD from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2019. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Utrecht School of Economics. He also holds a part-time position in the labour department at CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis and is affiliated to the Boston University Technology and Policy Research Initiative. He has visited Boston University in 2018 and 2019.
Wiljan’s research interests are in labour economics and include (1) the impact of technology on the labour market, (2) wage setting, minimum wages and flexible work arrangements, and (3) health and work.
Wiljan became an IZA Research Affiliate in May 2023.
