Hayley Fisher is a Professor at the University of Sydney and currently holds the role of Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education Strategy and Student Success).

Her research focuses on the causes and consequences of family formation and dissolution, including the influence of family law and the strategies used to smooth the shock of relationship breakdown. Recent work has been published in the Economic Journal, Review of Economics of the Household, the Journal of Law, Economics and Organisation, and Fiscal Studies.

Hayley Fisher joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in September 2017 and became a Research Fellow in December 2023.
