Stefan Staubli is an Economics Professor at the University of Calgary and an Affiliated Member at the Department of Economics at the University of Zurich. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2009 from the University of St. Gallen. His main research interests are in the area of labour economics, in particular the impact of government expenditure programs, such as disability insurance and social security, as well as the role of pension schemes in retirement.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in November 2011.
