Astrid Würtz Rasmussen is professor in Economics at Dept. of Economics and Business Economics, Aarhus University. She holds a PhD in Economics from Aarhus School of Business, University of Aarhus (2008). She was appointed to the Danish government’s Wage Structure Committee (Lønstrukturkomitéen) as an expert member in 2021. The work concluded in June 2023.

Her primary research areas are applied microeconomics, family economics, and labour economics more broadly.

Astrid Würtz Rasmussen joined IZA as a research fellow in March 2026.
