Chantal Pezold joined IZA as a Pre-doctoral Research Associate in September 2022, working under the supervision of Simon Jäger. Her primary research interests are in Labor Economics and Political Economy, particularly in the design and history of labor market institutions and their effects on inequality and technological change. She obtained a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Economics from Humboldt University Berlin. As part of her Master's, she spent the 2021/2022 academic year as a DAAD graduate exchange student in Economics and Mathematics at Harvard University and MIT, while working at the Social Economics Lab under the supervision of Stefanie Stantcheva.
