Colm Harmon is Professor of Economics at University of Sydney. He received his BA and MA in Economics from UCD, and his PhD from the University of Keele in 1997. He has held visiting appointments at Princeton University, University College London, Australian National University, University of Chicago, and the University of Warwick. He has, together with colleagues, published papers in the American Economic Review, Economic Journal, Economica, Economic and Social Review, European Economic Review, Fiscal Studies, Journal of the European Economic Association, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Health Economics and Labour Economics amongst others, and has made a number of policy related contributions locally and internationally.

He joined IZA as a research fellow in November 2000, and currently serves as one of the Section Editors at IZA World of Labor.
