Vera Rocha joined Copenhagen Business School (Department of Innovation and Organizational Economics) in October 2014 as a PostDoc Researcher in Economics of Entrepreneurship.

Vera received her PhD in Economics from the University of Porto (School of Economics and Management, FEP) in September 2014, with the thesis “Entrepreneurship Dynamics: Entry, Survival, and Firm Growth". Her thesis was distinguished with the Prize António Simões Lopes, awarded by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Ordem dos Economistas for the best PhD Thesis in Economics in Portugal in 2014.

Her research interests are mostly focused on the dynamics of entrepreneurs and their firms. She has been studying the dynamics of entry and exit in entrepreneurial careers, labor mobility, entrepreneurial role models, and the performance of new ventures, using matched employer-employee data for Portugal and Denmark. Her work has been published in several journals, such as Economics Letters, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Small Business Economics, and International Business Review.

Vera joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in June 2016.
