Edson R. Severnini is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University since August 2013. He's got his PhD in Economics at the University of California at Berkeley. He's interested in research questions at the intersection of Urban, Environmental, and Labor Economics, Economic History and Applied Econometrics. His recent work sheds light on the magnitude of agglomeration spillovers, consequences of environmental regulations, impact of electrification, and the health effects of air pollution pre- and post-Clean Air Act.
He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2013.
