Paul Muller is assistant professor at the VU University Amsterdam.

His research focuses on the functioning of labor market, with a particular focus on the effectiveness of job search assistance programs (including spillover effects on non-participants). Furthermore, he has used various field experiments to assess the benefits of personalized labor market information to stimulate occupational mobility among the unemployed. In addition he is interested in the efficiency of labor market policies, including disability benefits schemes and childcare subsidies.

Paul Muller joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in December 2020.
