Morgane Laouénan

Morgane Laouénan is currently a CNRS researcher at Centre d'Economie de la Sorbonne.

She was a junior researcher at Sciences-Po LIEPP in 2014-2015 and a postdoctoral fellow at Université catholique de Louvain in 2012-2014. She obtained her PhD at Aix-Marseille University (2012) and visited Boston University in 2010.

Her research interests include Labor Economics and Applied Microeconomics. She focuses on discrimination against African immigrants in France and against African-Americans in the US. In particular, she uses individual-level data to study the impact of racial prejudice on labor market outcomes of minorities, such as employment, wages and probability of occupying a job in contact with consumers.

Morgane joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in February 2014 and became a Research Fellow in July 2017.
