Knut Røed is Senior Research Fellow at the Ragnar Frisch Centre for Economic Research and Adjunct Professor at the ESOP Centre of Excellence, University of Oslo. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Oslo (1998). His research interests include labor supply, unemployment, absenteeism, disability, retirement behavior, and public policies aimed at promoting labor market participation.

Røed’s research has been published in Journal of Econometrics, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Public Economics, Economic Journal, Journal of the European Economic Association, Oxford Bulletin of Economics & Statistics, European Economic Review, Scandinavian Journal of Economics, Journal of Population Economics, Labour Economics, and other scientific journals.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in April 2007.
