Daniel F. Heuermann is Full Professor in Economics at the University of Regensburg. He is currently replacing Prof. Joachim Möller, who has retired in in September 2018.
In addition, Daniel is Associate Lecturer in the Philosophy & Economics program at the University of Bayreuth and Research Fellow at the IZA. In summer term 2017, he held the position of a Full Professor for International Economics at the University of Wuerzburg, where he substituted Prof. Michael Pflueger. Daniel studied Development Economics at the University of Cambridge (M.Phil. (cantab.)), holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Trier and finished his Habilitation in Economics at the University of Regensburg in July 2018. Between 2009 to 2012, he worked as a policy consultant in Berlin and supported the German Federal Ministries and the European Commission in the development of social and labor market policies.
His main research fields encompass regional, labor, and development economics with a focus on the evaluation of public policies.
