Glen Waddell is Professor of Economics at the University of Oregon, Associate Editor of Economics of Education Review, and a Research Affiliate of the Williams Project on the Economics of Higher Education. He has written on the economics of education, sports, non-cognitive skills, risky behaviours, personnel economics and compensation, and diversity. His work has been published in outlets such as Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Review of Economics and Statistics, International Journal of Industrial Organization, European Economic Review, The Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Financial Economics, American Economic Journal - Applied Economics, and Economic Inquiry.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in June 2007.
