Joachim Wagner has been professor of economics at the institute of economics of the University of Lüneburg since 1993. He studied economics at the University of Hannover, where he received his diploma in 1979, his doctoral degree in 1984, and his habilitation in 1990. His current research interests include empirical economic research in labor economics, small business economics, industrial economics, and international economics. He has published numerous papers in national and international refereed journals and collective volumes. Joachim Wagner is an editor of the Journal of Economics and Statistics / Jahrbücher für Nationalökonomie und Statistik and in charge of the RePEc nep-iaf service that informs about new working papers in the area of international activities of firms.
Joachim Wagner joined IZA as a Research Fellow in March 2001.
