Guido Friebel holds the Chair of Human Resource Management at Goethe University Frankfurt. He graduated in economics from Bielefeld in 1992 and graduated in 1996 with a PhD from ULB, Brussels. Before joining Goethe University, he was employed at SITE, Stockholm School of Economics and at the EHESS, Toulouse School of Economics. His primary areas of research are organizations, incentives for teams and individuals, human capital and migration decisions.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2003.
