Michelle McIsaac is an Economist at the World Health Organization.

She conducts research in health and labor economics, including the labor market for health care workers in developing and developed countries. With particular interest in the education and training of the health workforce, evaluation of labor market programs, and mobility and migration.

She has acted in an advisory role to ministries and governmental organizations across Asia, Africa, Europe, Canada and Australia. She has held previous positions at McGill University, the University of Calgary, and the University of Sydney. She is currently an editorial advisor for the Bulletin of the World Health Organization.

She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Melbourne Australia, a MA in Economics from McMaster University Canada and a BSc with honors in Economics and Mathematics from Dalhousie University Canada.

Michelle McIsaac joined IZA as an IZA Research Affiliate in September 2017.
