Juliane Hennecke is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the New Zealand Work Research Institute at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in New Zealand. She is an applied microeconomist and behavioural economist and her main research areas are Labour and Population Economics as well as Economic Psychology.
She joined AUT in October 2019 after completing her PhD in Economics from Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, in July 2019 within the Berlin Doctoral Program in Economics and Management Science (BDPEMS). Previously, she completed degrees in International Economics from University of Potsdam (Master) and in Economics and Political Science from Georg-August Universität Göttingen (Bachelor).
She is currently working on multiple topics family and intrahousehold economics, crime victimization as well as the behavioural implications of personality traits.
