Denisa Maria Sologon

Denisa Maria Sologon is a Research Economist at CEPS/INSTEAD Research Institute in Luxembourg. She obtained her PhD in June 2010, from Maastricht University, The Netherlands, entitled “Earnings Dynamics in Europe”, financed by a Marie Curie PhD Fellowship and an AFR PhD Fellowship from the National Research Fund in Luxembourg. During her PhD, Denisa had a Visiting Research Fellowship at The Wiener Center for Social Policy, Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. Recently, Denisa obtained a Marie Curie Post-Doc Fellowship to fund the project “Earnings dynamics and microsimulation”, co-financed by the National Research Fund in Luxembourg. Her field of interest is welfare and labour economics, and applied public economics. At the moment, her research is focused on income distribution dynamics, income mobility, income inequality, labour market institutions, impact of tax-benefit systems, labour market factors and demographics on household income inequality and social welfare.

Denisa participated at the 2009 IZA European Summer School in Labor Economics, joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in February 2010 and was an IZA Research Fellow from January 2013 until October 2016.
