Matt Lowe is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of British Columbia and a CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholar for 2023-2025. He received his PhD in Economics from MIT in 2018, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the briq Institute from 2018-2019. He uses field and natural experiments to study topics in behavioral, development, and political economy.
As a former briq Affiliate, he continues to collaborate with the behavioral economics team at IZA as an Associated Member.
