Krisztina Kis-Katos studied Economics in Szeged and Konstanz, attended the Swiss Doctoral Program at the Study Center Gerzensee, and received her PhD in Economics in May 2010 at the University of Freiburg in Germany. Currently she is professor of International Economic Policy at the Department of Economics at the University of Göttingen. Her research interests relate to applied development economics, political economy and applied microeconometrics. Her recent research projects focus on globalization and labor market outcomes, on the economics of conflict as well as on the effects of politics on public outcomes.

She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in October 2011.
