Stephen Gibbons

Professor Stephen Gibbons is Professor of Economic Geography, Department of Geography and Environment at the London School of Economics where he teaches urban economics, quantitative methods, applied spatial analysis, and Geographical Information Systems. Gibbons is also Director of the Spatial Economics Research Centre at LSE, a Research Associate at the Centre for Economic Performance and the Centre for Economics of Education at the LSE. His research relates to spatial issues in the economics of education, housing markets, labour markets, transport and crime and is applied, policy-focussed empirical work.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in September 2009.
