Matthias Kräkel is Professor of Business Administration at the University of Bonn. He studied Economics at the University of Hannover and graduated in 1989. He received his Ph.D. (economics) at the Free University of Berlin. Matthias Kräkel held positions at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Würzburg. His research interests include Personnel Economics, Organization Economics and Theory of the Firm.

Matthias Kräkel joined IZA as a Research Fellow in September 1999.
