Bernhard Schmidpeter is an Assistant Professor at Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien). Before joining WU, he worked as a Researcher at the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER), University of Essex. He earned his Ph.D. from Johannes Kepler University (JKU).

His areas of interest include labor economics, family economics and applied microeconometrics.

Bernhard Schmidpeter joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2020.
